Church-goers might want to be a little careful about where they protest; they might just get some surprise protestors of their own. This is probably my favorite story of the whole entire week- a few small-town strippers donned string bikinis, propped themselves up on lawn chairs and protested at a church near their place of business just in time for Sunday’s morning service.
The church congregants have been protesting at the strip club for four years. Tired of having their club and place of work picketed, the strippers decided to take matters into their own hands and fought back. The club’s owner claims that the church members come armed with bullhorns and harass his patron when they are protesting. He also claims that the protestors bring surveillance equipment and put license plate numbers on-line for any interested parties to read.
The parishioners (as you can see from the video below) are not too happy with the bikini-clad protestors- the pastor is publicly stating that the strippers are solidifying the strength of his flock and many of the people from the town are decidedly freaked out by the protestors as well.
We’ll just have to wait and see whether or not the unusual protestors continue to solidify the strength of the congregation.
