OK, men, it’s time to get your gardening boots on and your shovels out. According to the Telegraph, a guy can improve his sex life by spending 30 minutes or more in the garden per day either tending to the cabbage patch, lawn mowing, or anything else remotely resembling labor. While this sounds like a fantasy conjured up by some random housewife in order to get her husband out working in the yard more often, there was a study and it does have a medical basis.
Gardening 30 minutes a day can supposedly cut a man's risk of the dreaded Erectile Disfunction by half. ED is caused by either psychological or physical symptoms, such as high blood pressure and both stress factors and physical health are affected by exercise. To reduce ED, a man needs to burn about 1,000 calories a week. Of course, if you don’t want to rely on gardening or some other form of exercise and aren’t too impressed with the constant barrage of Viagra ads, there’s always the possibility of heading to Brazil and getting some venom from a Brazilian Wandering Spider, which also has the potential to cure ED.
